I’m Here to Help You Overcome Your Biggest Challenges
Running a handmade business is an incredible journey, but I know it can also feel overwhelming at times. Over the years, I’ve received countless questions through Facebook groups, emails, and even in-person chats from fellow handmade sellers like you. With over 35 years of experience in business and ecommerce (yes, I launched my first website in 1990), I’ve seen it all. That’s why I started this blog—to help you tackle those random (but important!) questions that come up when building your business.
I want to help you overcome your biggest challenges and guide you toward creating the business of your dreams. If I can do it, so can you.

Q&A: Common Struggles Handmade Sellers Face
Q: I’m struggling with getting consistent sales. What can I do to boost visibility and attract more customers? A: You’re not alone—this is one of the most common challenges handmade sellers face. To boost visibility, focus on leveraging platforms where your audience is most active. For example, if your products are highly visual, consider investing time in Instagram or Pinterest. Utilize keywords for SEO, and if you haven't already, explore paid ads for targeted visibility. Engaging with your audience by showing behind-the-scenes processes or customer stories can also help build a connection that leads to more sales.
Q: How can I keep up with the constant demands of marketing, production, and customer service? It’s too much!
A: The key is delegation and automation. Focus on the tasks that only you can do, like designing and creating products. For everything else—customer service emails, social media scheduling, or shipping—you can use automation tools like Klaviyo for email flows or hire virtual assistants to ease the workload. Don't be afraid to delegate, and remember that building a support system is essential for long-term growth.
Q: I get stuck on perfectionism. How do I know when a product or listing is “good enough” to launch?A: This is a mindset shift that many handmade sellers need to embrace. Done is better than perfect. If you wait for everything to be flawless, you might never launch. Instead, aim for progress and keep refining based on feedback. Launch with what you have, and improve over time. You'll be amazed at how much more you can achieve when you let go of perfectionism.
Why I’m Here to Help
I’ve spent decades navigating the highs and lows of running a business, from my early days in ecommerce to growing multiple successful brands. I’ve dealt with all the struggles you’re facing today: inconsistent sales, feeling overwhelmed, and striving for perfection. But I pushed through—and I know you can, too. That’s why I created this space, to share what I’ve learned and help you avoid common pitfalls.
Real-World Example:When I first launched my own handmade line, I struggled with product listings and wasn’t getting the traction I expected. I tweaked my SEO, changed how I photographed my items, and added more behind-the-scenes content. Once I started showing customers the why behind my products, my sales picked up significantly. I’m here to share those same tips with you!
